Syah was the highlight of the night! Not only did she have the comedic timing of a professional improv performer, but her skill in reading the PACKED room to assess when to move us through the event schedule or make time for impromptu monologue jokes and announcements was an art form that I was inspired to learn from in the moment. Syah balanced the upbeat levity by being able to demand attention to the stage in order to give a respectful moment of silence to honor a death in the LGBTQ+ community and did so in such a thoughtful, moving way without much notice beforehand to prep (so impressive). I was most blown away by her ability to evoke hype in the crowd for the performers and she always made sure that the acts we hired had proper time to introduce themselves and plug their services to ensure that the community connection pieces flourished and truly benefited from the event mission and vision
